Deceased Elderly Male Found After Houston House Fire

A male, aged 74, was found deceased after a fire was put out at 888 West Little York Road around 12:20 a.m. on Sunday (May 12). The Houston Police Department is awaiting autopsy results to confirm the cause of death, and the identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded to the house fire. While HFD personnel tackled the fire, patrol officers managed traffic. The male was discovered inside the residence and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
