Dangerous Offender Receives Life Sentence After Round Rock Police Uncover Pattern of Child Abuse

Williamson County, Texas – Garrett Andrew Bailey, 37, has been sentenced to life in prison after a Williamson County jury found him guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child on December 17, 2025.
The sentencing marks the culmination of an extensive investigation led by the Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) that uncovered a widespread pattern of abuse and exploitation across multiple Texas jurisdictions.
Investigation Overview
The case against Bailey began in 2023 when Round Rock Police launched an inquiry into an assault involving a child at a local hotel. As detectives delved deeper, they identified additional child victims and discovered that Bailey’s criminal activity extended far beyond Williamson County.
The Scale of the Offenses
The life sentence handed down this week follows a prior significant conviction involving human trafficking and child exploitation in Bexar County.

The Williamson County District Attorney’s Office successfully prosecuted the most recent charges, ensuring that Bailey, whom officials described as a “dangerous offender,” will remain behind bars for the rest of his life.
Commitment to Protection
