Crosby Man Jumps from Second Story to Avoid Arrest, Later Taken into Custody at Hospital

CROSBY, Texas – Harris County Precinct 3 Constable’s Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 1900 block of White Feather Trail involving Travis Diaz.

Diaz left the residence before deputies arrived but returned shortly before their arrival. Upon seeing deputies, he ran upstairs and barricaded himself in his room, knowing he had an active warrant for his arrest.

Due to threats made by Diaz, SWAT was dispatched to the scene. Just before their arrival, Diaz jumped from the second story of the residence, sustaining injuries. A friend transported him to a local hospital.

Upon SWAT’s arrival, deputies received information on Diaz’s location and responded to the hospital, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Diaz was transported to the Harris County Jail and booked on an active aggravated assault with a deadly weapon warrant issued by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
