Convicted Felon Arrested for Robbing CVS and Punching Cashier in FM 1960 Road W Incident

On January 15, 2025, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a robbery call at the CVS located in the 5600 block of FM 1960 Road W. Employees reported that the suspect fled the scene on foot after committing the robbery. Deputies quickly located the suspect and apprehended him. He was identified as 39-year-old David Colbert, a convicted felon.

The investigation revealed that Colbert had concealed merchandise and passed all points of sale without paying. When a cashier attempted to stop him, Colbert dropped the stolen items, which were recovered by the cashier and placed behind the counter. Colbert then punched the cashier with a closed fist and took the stolen items, fleeing the store.

David Colbert was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Robbery-Bodily Injury. His bond was set at $10,000 out of the 248th District Court.
