Christmas Eve Friendswood Kroger Robbery Suspect Apprehended

On December 24, 2023, at approximately 7:00 am, a robbery occurred at the Kroger located at 3135 FM 528. A woman working at the store was stocking shelves when a black male approached her purse, took her cell phone without permission, and concealed it in his pocket. The suspect then proceeded to steal multiple items off a shelf, placing them into a backpack.

Upon being confronted by the woman about the theft of her phone and store items, the suspect, later identified as Kenneth Tinker Jr., issued a threat to shoot her if she continued to follow him. The woman immediately reported the incident to local authorities.

Following an investigation by a Friendswood Detective, Tinker was identified as the suspect. He was arrested on January 9, 2024, on a Harris County warrant for robbery.
