Charges Filed Against Suspect in Stabbing and Shooting Incident on Nitida Street
Charges have been filed against Keith Levale Strange, 40, following a stabbing and shooting incident that occurred at 13910 Nitida Street around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, September 1. Strange is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District. A booking photo of Strange, who is currently hospitalized, is not available.
The 43-year-old female victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
According to HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Chheav, HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at the address and discovered the victim with a stab wound and Strange with a gunshot wound. Both individuals were transported by paramedics in stable condition.
Investigators determined that the incident began after Strange was asked to leave the residence. Strange then stabbed the victim, who is a family member, with a kitchen knife and attempted to attack the victim’s husband. The husband responded by shooting Strange once.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has been consulted, and charges against Strange were filed following the investigation.
