Chambers County Arrested in Drug Bust Following Citizen Complaints

Sheriff Brian Hawthorne of the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office has disclosed that an investigation into narcotics sales at a residence in Anahuac, initiated by citizen complaints in early November, concluded with a residential search warrant executed on December 12, 2023. The Covert Investigations Unit and Crime Prevention Unit led the inquiry into the alleged distribution of narcotics.

During the search of the residence, law enforcement confiscated the following items:

  • 18 ounces of marijuana
  • 322 grams of methamphetamine
  • 54 grams of crack cocaine
  • 22 grams of powder cocaine
  • 3 firearms

The primary subject of the investigation, 35-year-old George Randle of Anahuac, was apprehended and now faces the following charges. The bonds were set by Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Judge Michael Wheat:

  1. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >= 4g < 200g – $40,000 bond
  2. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >= 200g < 400g – $40,000 bond
  3. Possession of Marijuana >4 oz <= 5lbs – $10,000 bond
  4. Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon – $20,000 bond
