Burglary Suspect Flees in Stolen ATV, Apprehended After Pursuit in Harris County
Andrew David Rehwinkel

On December 28, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office engaged in an operation to make contact with a known burglary suspect in Harris County. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Andrew David Rehwinkel from The Woodlands, attempted to evade constable deputies in a stolen John Deere Gator ATV.

The pursuit unfolded on the 4000 block of FM 2920 Road when the stolen vehicle became disabled, leading Rehwinkel to abandon it and flee on foot. Quick action by officers resulted in his quick apprehension. The stolen John Deere Gator was determined to have been taken from a Klein ISD high school.

Rehwinkel was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He now faces charges of Felony Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. This marks the second occasion Precinct 4 Deputies have arrested Rehwinkel for evading arrest, with a prior arrest on January 29, 2023, in Brazos County for charges related to possession of drugs and theft.
