Brazoria County Deputies Respond to Crash Alert, Discover Fatal Stabbing
Aalaha Harden

On Saturday, November 29, 2025, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office deputies were sent to the 14700 block of Susie Lane (CR 442) in Alvin after dispatch received an iPhone Crash Alert. While deputies were on the way, additional updates suggested the welfare call might involve a physical disturbance and a possible stabbing.

Deputies arrived and encountered 28-year-old Aalaha Harden, who had been involved in the incident. While they worked to secure the scene, Harden refused to follow commands and resisted their efforts.

Inside the home, deputies found 30-year-old Sarah Garcia with multiple stab wounds. She was airlifted to HCA Hospital in Clear Lake, where she later died from her injuries.

The Criminal Investigations Unit and Forensic Investigations Unit responded to process the scene. Based on the evidence collected, investigators charged Harden with Murder and Resisting Arrest. She is being held at the Brazoria County Detention Center with bonds totaling $1,003,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
