Beaumont Police Track Armed Robbery Suspects to Parkdale Mall Using GPS

BEAUMONT, Texas – Beaumont police arrested two men Thursday afternoon after using GPS tracking and real-time surveillance tools to locate suspects accused of committing an armed robbery earlier in the day.

On January 15, 2026, at about 3:12 p.m., officers with the Beaumont Police Department responded to the 4700 block of Magnolia Avenue following a reported robbery. An adult female victim told officers she had been robbed at gunpoint by two suspects, described as a Hispanic male and a Black male, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts. After the robbery, the victim drove away from the area and contacted police.

Patrol officers and detectives were able to track the suspects through active GPS data. With assistance from the department’s Real Time Crime Center, investigators identified the suspects’ location at Parkdale Mall. Officers established a perimeter around the area and took both suspects into custody without incident.

The suspects were identified as Jesus Lugo, 20, and Devon Murry, 21. Both were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
