Beaumont Police Investigate Series of Six Shootings Linked to Feuding Groups; Two Arrested
Jordan Washington and Wesley Davis

The Beaumont Police Department is actively investigating a series of six shootings that have occurred since the early morning hours of May 1, 2025, resulting in a total of eight victims across the city. Despite a lack of cooperation from victims and witnesses, detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit have been diligently pursuing leads and working to identify those responsible.

The reported incidents include:

  • May 1 – 3255 Elmira: Two individuals shot
  • May 4 – 2525 N. 11th St. (Grand Hotel): One individual shot
  • May 4 – 1700 block of Glasshouse: Two individuals shot
  • May 4 – 500 block of E. Virginia: One individual shot and a residence struck by gunfire
  • May 5 – 4600 block of Maddox: Two individuals shot, multiple vehicles and an apartment building struck by gunfire
  • May 7 – 500 block of E. Virginia: Residence struck by gunfire

Investigators have determined that the majority of these shootings are connected and are the result of an ongoing feud between two groups. Authorities emphasize that the violence is targeted and not random.

Following the shooting on May 7, officers, with assistance from Lamar University Police Department, quickly developed leads that led to the identification of a vehicle and two suspects. Shortly after, Beaumont Police Detectives, supported by BPD SWAT, the Special Assignment Unit, and the ATF, executed a search warrant.

As a result of this operation, two Beaumont residents were arrested:

  • Jordan Washington, 27 years old
  • Wesley Davis, 20 years old

Both men were taken into custody on felony warrants for Deadly Conduct issued through the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. During the operation, two firearms believed to have been used in the recent shootings were recovered.

Detectives have identified additional suspects, and more arrests are anticipated. Investigators are urging victims, witnesses, and anyone with information related to these cases to come forward. Even seemingly minor details could be crucial in resolving these incidents and preventing further violence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234 or submit anonymous tips to Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS or online at 833TIPS.com.

The Beaumont Police Department highlighted the instrumental role of surveillance cameras and license plate reader technology in advancing these investigations. They are also working in partnership with the District Attorney’s Office, the ATF, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office to explore federal prosecution options.

The department assured residents that officers are working diligently and swiftly to bring those responsible to justice, acknowledging the alarming nature of these incidents.
