Beaumont Police Investigate Road Rage Shooting, Seek Person of Interest

Beaumont Police are investigating a road rage incident that left a man shot in the face on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the 8000 block of Eastex Freeway.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:04 p.m. and located the male victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the face. The preliminary investigation suggests the shooting originated from a road rage altercation involving another vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Detectives are actively seeking to speak with Asa Jones, a 26-year-old Beaumont resident, in connection with this case. Jones is currently considered a person of interest and has three active City of Beaumont warrants for unrelated offenses.
