Baytown Police Arrest Four Following Shots Fired at Local Bar

Early Thursday morning, January 9, Baytown Police responded to reports of shots fired at a bar in the 2700 block of N. Alexander Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers learned that an unidentified man had fired shots into the ceiling before fleeing. The suspect remains at large. During the investigation, officers identified a man and a woman who had allegedly assaulted staff and patrons inside the bar. As the pair attempted to leave in a vehicle, officers detained them without incident. A handgun was discovered in plain view inside the vehicle, and a pistol magazine was recovered from the bar.

Further investigation revealed that the man and woman were involved in an earlier altercation before the shots were fired. The man was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, while the woman was arrested and charged with Assault. Both were transported to the Baytown Jail.

In addition, two intoxicated men involved in the disturbance were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. All individuals arrested were residents of Baytown.

The Baytown Police Department emphasized its commitment to community safety, stating that reckless and violent behavior will not be tolerated. The investigation into the shots fired incident remains ongoing.
