Baytown Police Arrest Felon in Drug Raid, Seize Meth and Firearm
On Thursday, March 6, 2025, the Baytown Police Department’s SWAT Team, K9 Unit, and Special Investigations Division executed a narcotics search warrant in the 7200 block of Kings Drive following an investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in the area.
During the search, officers recovered methamphetamine and a .22 caliber rifle. Eric Gates, 44, of Baytown, who was out on bond in Harris County for a felony Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge, was taken into custody.
Gates has been charged through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant. The Baytown Police Department continues its investigation.
