Baytown Man Arrested After Discovery of Graphic Child Sexual Abuse Videos

Harris County Constable Precinct One detectives arrested 61 year old Albert Ramon at his Baytown home following an investigation into the possession of child pornography. Ramon is charged with three first degree felonies, each carrying a potential penalty of up to 99 years or life in prison.
The arrest was conducted by the Constable Precinct One Internet Crimes Against Children Unit as part of an ongoing case. During a search of the residence, authorities seized computers, cellular phones, and thumb drives. According to court records, one thumb drive recovered from a nightstand contained video of the sexual assault of a child appearing to be two years old. Additional devices contained graphic video of a pre-teen girl who was bound and sexually assaulted.
The defendant is accused of downloading the material from the internet. Investigators are submitting the recovered videos to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for further review.
“Our detectives roam cyberspace to hunt predators and we will never stop doing all we can to protect children,” Constable Alan Rosen said.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, which operates as part of the Harris County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, is encouraging the public to report tips regarding child exploitation by calling 713-222-4929.
“If you have a tip about someone exploiting children, give us a call,” Rosen said. “We need your help to protect as many children as possible.”
