Bacliff Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charge After Cyber-Tip Investigation

Bacliff, Texas – Arturo Manuel Perez, 34, of Bacliff, was charged with Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault on December 5, 2025, after a search of his residence by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began in November 2025 when Detective A. Espinosa, a member of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
On December 5, 2025, members of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Demrod Street in Bacliff.
During the search, electronic devices were seized. A further examination of the devices revealed evidence of child pornography. Perez was subsequently charged, and his bond was set at $60,000.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force, which includes participants from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) – Galveston, Pearland Police Department, La Porte Police Department, Texas City Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, Hitchcock Police Department, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, and TXDPS – CID. The Sheriff’s Office also recognized the work of its Crime Scene Unit and Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF).
