Austin Police Needs Help Identifying Four Suspects in Home Burglary and Shooting

The Austin Police Department’s Aggravated Assault unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying four suspects involved in an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon that occurred on Friday, November 8, 2024, at approximately 12:52 p.m. in the 8000 block of Exchange Drive in Northeast Austin.

The incident began when a homeowner arrived at his residence to find it being burglarized. One suspect exited through a window and, upon seeing the homeowner, fired multiple gunshots at him while fleeing. The suspect was accompanied by several accomplices who also fled the scene.

Police have linked four suspects to the crime but have not yet identified them:

  • Suspect #1: Hispanic male, 18–25 years old, thin build, possibly armed. Last seen wearing a gray sweater, dark pants, a dark bandana, and black shoes with red and white accents.
  • Suspect #2: White or Hispanic male, 18–25 years old, thin build. Last seen wearing a white tank top, dark pants, gray shoes, and a distinctive red and white jacket.
  • Suspect #3: White or Hispanic male, 18–25 years old, average build. Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, white and black shoes, a dark baseball cap, and carrying a bag across his chest.
  • Suspect #4: Black or Hispanic male, 18–25 years old, average build. Last seen wearing a light blue or white and blue jersey with the number “23” on the front, blue shorts, and white shoes.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact APD’s Aggravated Assault unit at 512-974-5245. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
