Arrest Made in Heatherbrook Drive Fatal Shooting Case

Steven Pearson, 38, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the fatal shooting of Jonathan Lemons, 33, which occurred at 5400 Heatherbrook Drive on January 12.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to reports of a shooting at a parking lot at the aforementioned address around 8:05 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mr. Lemons lying unresponsive in the parking lot, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Initially, there was no known description of the suspect(s). However, further investigation led authorities to identify Pearson as the suspect in the case.

On February 22, officers from the HPD SWAT team arrested Pearson without incident. He was subsequently charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
