Sugar Land Man Arrested After Firing Gun During Rosenberg Bank Robbery

Tedros Saleshe Zemene, 23, of Sugar Land, has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery after firing gunshots during a bank robbery at a Rosenberg Chase Bank.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, at approximately 5:05 PM, Rosenberg Police responded to a robbery in progress at the Chase Bank located at 23910 Southwest Freeway.

Upon arrival, officers saw the suspect exiting the bank. He was detained without incident after officers gave him commands.

Detectives learned that Zemene had fired gunshots during the robbery. No one was injured.

After interviewing victims, reviewing video surveillance, and recovering a firearm and approximately $11,000 in cash, Zemene was arrested.

The investigation is ongoing. The Rosenberg Police Department is asking the public to contact the Criminal Investigations Division with any information regarding this incident.
