Fatal Crash on FM 969 Road in Austin Claims One Life, Two Injured

On Thursday, November 28, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles in the 8200 block of FM 969 Road in the Rogers Hill area. The driver of one vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injuries.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 81st fatal crash of 2024, bringing the total number of fatalities to 86. In comparison, on the same date in 2023, 80 fatal crashes resulted in 83 fatalities.
