Manhunt Underway for Boyfriend in Harris County After Young Woman Found Dead in Apartment
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators are actively pursuing leads in a homicide case following the discovery of a deceased young woman at the Rock Creek Apartment Complex. On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, around 11:30 AM, authorities responded to 100 Hollow Tree Lane (#1016) after the victim’s mother found her daughter’s lifeless body in her apartment. The victim had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The victim’s mother had grown concerned after not receiving any response to calls or messages from her daughter for a day. Upon arrival, it was noted that the victim’s boyfriend, who also resided in the apartment, was missing, along with the victim’s vehicle.

Additionally, the victim’s vehicle was recovered by the Dallas Police Department after it was towed from a business parking lot within Dallas city limits.
The apartment was thoroughly processed for evidence, and investigators are currently reviewing additional surveillance footage as they continue their pursuit of the suspect, Franklin Alexander Acevedo-Chacon. Homicide Investigators intend to pursue murder charges once more evidence is reviewed and the suspect is located for questioning.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
