Father Arrested for DWI with 5-year-old Daughter in Vehicle After Major Crash on Atascocita Road
On January 23, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a major motor vehicle crash in the 3900 block of Atascocita Road. The at-fault driver, identified as Robert Johnson, exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. To make matters more concerning, Johnson’s five-year-old daughter was also present in the vehicle.
Upon the deputies’ arrival, a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, confirming that Johnson was driving under the influence. Child Protective Services was promptly contacted, and the child was released into the care of a guardian who arrived at the scene.
Subsequently, Robert Johnson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. His bond has been set at $1,000.00 by the 482nd District Court.
