Two Men Arrested in Shenandoah Area Fatal Shooting on New Year’s Eve
Charges have been officially filed against two individuals in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on December 31, 2023, at 5900 Clarewood Drive in the Shenandoah area.
The suspects, identified as Robert Miguel Pena, 24, and Eduardo Alvarez, 21, now face murder charges in the 263rd State District Court.
The victim, a 20-year-old male, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, lost control of his vehicle and collided with a light pole on Clarewood Drive. Upon examination, officers and paramedics discovered gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased on January 2.
Subsequent investigations led authorities to identify Pena and Alvarez as the prime suspects in the case.
On January 11, officers from the HPD South Gessner Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team apprehended both suspects without incident. Following their arrest, Pena and Alvarez were taken into custody and booked at the Harris County Jail.
