Lubbock Police Arrests Two Teens in 7-Eleven Robbery Case Involving Firearms
The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Lamesa Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF), successfully apprehended two 16-year-old males in connection with an aggravated robbery that took place on December 16, 2023.
Responding to a robbery report at 5:21 am in the 2600 block of Avenue Q, officers discovered that two masked individuals, both clad in black, had entered the 7-Eleven at the intersection of Avenue Q and 27th Street. The suspects discharged a firearm and threatened the victim, demanding money. Subsequently, the perpetrators fled the scene in a light-colored, long-bed pickup truck.
The arrested individuals have been booked into the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center on charges of Aggravated Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. The investigation is still ongoing.
