Hit-and-Run Driver Apprehended Following Major Crash in Cypress

On December 13, 2023, deputies from Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office rushed to the scene of a significant vehicle collision in the 29600 block of State Highway 290 in Cypress, Texas. The crash prompted an immediate response from law enforcement.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the driver responsible for the incident had neglected to provide assistance and fled from the scene. Based on the description received, Constable Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as 40-year-old Santiago Reina.

Reina was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail, facing charges of Failure to Stop and Render Aid. His bond has been set at $15,000.00 by the 209th District Court.
