Two Arrested in Fatal Shooting of 19-Year-Old Texas City Man After Three-Month Investigation
TEXAS CITY, Texas – Two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man following a nearly three-month investigation, according to the Texas City Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 10:54 p.m. on May 4 to a reported weapons offense in the 8600 block of Emmett F. Lowry Expressway.
When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Prince Pratt of Texas City suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Pratt was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Following an extensive investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for 19-year-old Albert Huddy Hart IV and 31-year-old Christopher Anthony Albert.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force-Galveston, working alongside Homeland Security Investigations’ Fugitive Investigations and Search Team (FIST), conducted simultaneous arrest operations in Houston, taking both suspects into custody without incident. Both suspects have been charged with Murder. Hart’s bond was set at $300,000 and Albert’s at $305,000 since he had an additional charge of Possession of Marijuana..
Police credited several agencies with assisting throughout the investigation, including the League City Police Department, Galveston Police Department, La Marque Police Department, the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force-Galveston and Homeland Security Investigations FIST.
The Texas City Police Department said the investigation remains active.
