Four Juveniles Arrested After More Than $5,000 in Damage to League City Golf Course

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Four juveniles have been taken into custody in connection with more than $5,000 in damage caused to a League City golf course earlier this month, according to the League City Police Department.

The investigation began on July 16 after officers responded to Magnolia Creek Golf Club to investigate extensive damage that had occurred the previous evening.

Police said the damage was caused by individuals riding e-bikes on the golf course without permission. The cost to repair the property is estimated to exceed $5,000.

Following an investigation, detectives identified four juveniles as the individuals responsible for the damage and filed criminal charges against them.

On July 28, all four juveniles were taken into custody on felony criminal mischief charges. They were later released to the custody of their parents.

The League City Police Department credited community members who provided video evidence and other information that helped detectives identify the suspects.

Police also reminded the public that operating e-bikes, motorcycles or other vehicles on private property without permission may result in criminal charges, including trespassing and criminal mischief if property damage occurs. Officers encouraged riders to obtain permission before entering privately owned property and to respect private land.
