Houston Police Seek Person of Interest in Fatal Greater Hobby Area Shooting

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest wanted for questioning in a fatal shooting earlier this month in the Greater Hobby Area.

Police said the shooting occurred around 3:55 p.m. on May 7 in the 8700 block of Blackhawk Ridge Lane.

Responding officers found 16-year-old Jadiel Rodriguez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department pronounced Rodriguez dead at the scene.

Investigators said a second male was also shot and transported to a hospital in critical condition.

According to homicide investigators, detectives later identified a man known only as “Junior” as a person of interest in the case. Police emphasized that the individual has not been charged.
