CYPRESS, Texas — A man was arrested after deputies say he entered a Cypress home armed with a kitchen knife and threatened people inside the residence, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded Saturday, May 16, 2026, to a suspicious person call after a resident reported a man was knocking on the front door while armed with a knife and making threats toward occupants inside the home.

Authorities said deputies quickly located and detained the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Brandon Michael Fritz.

During the investigation, deputies determined Fritz had allegedly unlawfully entered the residence while armed with the knife and intended to cause bodily harm to those inside, investigators said.

Fritz was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Officials said he is currently awaiting bond out of the 263rd District Court.
