Pasadena Police Officer Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash During Traffic Stop

PASADENA, Texas — A Pasadena Police Department officer was involved in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday while conducting a traffic stop along State Highway 225, authorities said.
According to police, the collision occurred May 16, 2026, in the 300 block of State Highway 225 when a marked patrol unit was struck from behind by another vehicle.
Investigators said the impact triggered a chain-reaction crash involving several additional vehicles.
In total, four vehicles, including the patrol unit, were involved in the collision, authorities said.
Police reported the patrol vehicle sustained heavy damage to both the front and rear, and all vehicles involved were disabled and later towed from the scene.
The officer and two other drivers were transported to local hospitals for medical evaluation, while a fourth driver declined medical treatment at the scene.
The department’s Crash Reconstruction Team responded and is continuing to investigate the incident.
Officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
