Man Arrested After Being Found in Bed With 13-Year-Old at Northwest Houston Apartment

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas, April 27, 2026 — A 19-year-old man was arrested Monday after deputies found him inside a bedroom with a 13-year-old girl at an apartment in northwest Harris County, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call at an apartment in the 13800 block of Napoli Drive in the Mandolin Village area. Upon arrival, they were told an adult male had been discovered inside the residence with the juvenile. Authorities said the man was found in bed with the girl and was detained at the scene.

Investigators determined the suspect had unlawfully entered the apartment through a window, officials said. Detectives with the Constable’s Special Victims Unit responded, collected evidence and conducted interviews as part of the investigation.

The suspect was identified as Isaac Mendoza-Lopez, 19. Authorities said he provided statements to detectives, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Mendoza-Lopez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, where he remains in custody.

Constable Mark Herman said the office prioritizes protecting children and dedicates resources to cases involving vulnerable victims.
