Houston Police Seek Murder Suspect After Missing Pregnant Woman Found Dead

HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police have charged a 24-year-old man with murder after investigators discovered the body of a 23-year-old woman Thursday in southwest Houston.
Kevin Faux has been charged with murder in the 228th Criminal District Court and remains wanted, according to Houston police.
Investigators working a missing person case, assisted by Texas EquuSearch, found the woman’s body around 9 a.m. April 16, 2026, at 11655 Chimney Rock Road.
The victim was identified as 23-year-old Ashanti Allen. She had last been seen on April 10th. According to Texas EquuSearch, Allen was 8 months pregnant and the pregnancy was considered high-risk. Her cause of death is pending an autopsy.
During the investigation, detectives identified Faux as a suspect and later learned he is the father of the victim’s unborn child, according to police.
Authorities said Faux has not been taken into custody.
