Arrest Made After Multi-Victim Shooting in Dickinson, Seven Injured

DICKINSON, Texas — A suspect has been arrested following a shooting that left multiple people injured in Dickinson late last month, according to police.
Officers with the Dickinson Police Department responded around 12:26 a.m. on March 29, 2026, to the 2400 block of Avenue F for a reported medical emergency. While en route, dispatchers received additional reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they located several victims and continued to hear gunshots in the area. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to assist, and the Dickinson Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, along with the Galveston County Crime Scene Unit, processed the scene.
Authorities later confirmed that seven victims were identified in the incident. All victims were reported to be in stable condition or had been released from the hospital.
On April 1, 2026, investigators arrested 58-year-old Patrick Frederick in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. His bonds were set at $750,000 and $250,000, respectively.
Police said the investigation remains active, and additional details have not yet been released.
