Spring Woman Accused of Mail Theft, Identity Fraud After Harris County Traffic Stop

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A traffic stop conducted by deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office in northwest Harris County led to the arrest of a Spring woman accused of possessing stolen mail, credit cards, and narcotics.
Deputies conducted the stop Tuesday, March 10th, in the 9300 block of Fawnwick Drive near Spring, TX. The driver was identified as 24 year old Nia Simone Wytch of Spring.
According to authorities, Wytch appeared nervous during the stop, which raised deputies’ suspicions. While looking inside the vehicle, deputies observed items believed to be related to drug use and asked her to step out of the vehicle.
During the investigation, deputies discovered a large bag of mail, multiple credit cards, drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, mailbox keys, and a lock picking kit inside the vehicle. Deputies also located two spiral notebooks containing names and Social Security numbers.
Further investigation determined that a large portion of the mail and credit cards had been stolen.
Wytch was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. She is charged with Mail Theft, Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Her total bond was set at $31,000 by the 232nd District Court.
Online records show Wytch has prior arrests related to fraud and theft. In 2024, she was arrested after attempting to cash a forged check at a Bank of America branch in Atascocita. Authorities said she fled in a vehicle before being captured by deputies following a pursuit.
Records also show Wytch was arrested for theft in November 2020 and again in November 2019. Sadly, those cases were later dismissed, despite her history as a repeat offender. Law enforcement is doing it’s job, now we need the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to do their.
