Conroe Man Arrested on Sexual Assault of a Child Charge

CONROE, Texas — The Conroe Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, working alongside the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, has arrested a suspect in a felony case involving a juvenile victim.

The investigation began January 31 after a juvenile female family member reported a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the 100 block of Amanda Street in Conroe. The victim described the suspect as a male in his fifties.

The case was assigned to Detective N. Becker, who conducted a detailed investigation to identify the suspect and corroborate the victim’s account.

Investigators identified the suspect as 44-year-old Amado Beaz Jarmillo. With assistance from Chief Prosecutor Brittany Aaron, Detective Becker obtained a search warrant for Jarmillo’s residence and an arrest warrant.

After an extensive search, patrol officers located and arrested Jarmillo without incident. He has been charged with Sexual Assault of a Child, a second-degree felony.

Conroe Police Chief Jon Buckholtz praised the victim’s courage in coming forward and commended investigators and patrol officers for their work in bringing the case forward. The department stated it remains committed to protecting children and holding offenders accountable.
