Jonathan Cranfill

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 38-year-old man on Thursday after responding to a sexual assault report in the 10000 block of Royal Duaine Drive in Conroe.

Deputies were dispatched around 3 p.m. on November 27, 2025, and the case was immediately taken over by the MCSO Special Victims Unit. Detectives identified the suspect as Jonathan Morgan Cranfill and charged him with Sexual Assault of a Child.

Investigators confirmed that Cranfill is employed as a school bus driver for Cleveland ISD and previously worked as a bus driver for Conroe ISD for about 10 years from 2012 to 2022. He’s been with the Cleveland ISD since October 2022. Early findings indicate the offense is not connected to his current or former duties within either school district.

Cranfill was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Because the investigation is ongoing, authorities are not releasing additional details at this time.
