Two Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Porter, Texas

On November 12, 2025, at approximately 1:46 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Telecommunications received a call to locate a blue Chevrolet pickup truck near FM 1314 and SH 99 after witnesses reported seeing a man and woman physically fighting inside the vehicle.

Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office located the truck a short time later in the 20200 block of Duester Lane in Porter. Inside, deputies discovered the bodies of 41-year-old Kevin Doak and 28-year-old Victoria Yates, both with apparent gunshot wounds.

Major Crimes Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to begin their investigation.

According to preliminary findings, the incident appears to be a murder-suicide. Authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
