Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Conroe ISD Police Vehicle

A 24-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening after his motorcycle collided with a Conroe ISD police vehicle on North Loop 336 East.
According to the Conroe Police Department, officers responded to the crash around 6:37 p.m. on November 11, 2025. When officers arrived, lifesaving measures were already being performed by CISD Police and Conroe Police personnel. Conroe Fire and EMS crews quickly took over but were unable to revive the motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the crash happened as a marked Conroe ISD Police patrol unit was heading north in the middle lane, preparing to turn west into the CISD Police Station parking lot. At the same time, a southbound motorcycle—identified as being operated by 24-year-old Patrick Freeland—was reportedly overtaking other vehicles in traffic.
According to witnesses and scene video, the patrol unit was turning into the parking lot when the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the vehicle, throwing Freeland from the bike. The CISD officer immediately began CPR until relieved by other first responders.
The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later released.
The Conroe Police Fatality Crash Reconstruction Team, in coordination with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Conroe Police Chief Buckholtz expressed condolences to the family and all those affected by the tragic incident.
