Lamon Rashaud Wynn II

Dallas police have arrested 19-year-old Lamon Rashaud Wynn II in connection with a shooting that occurred on a DART train near Akard Station last week.

According to DART Police, officers responded around 11:11 a.m. on Friday, November 7, after reports of gunfire aboard a train. When officers arrived, they found one passenger suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital; their condition has not been released.

Investigators reviewed train security footage, which showed Wynn lunging at the victim before a struggle broke out and shots were fired. Witnesses on board provided police with the suspect’s street name and social media accounts, helping to identify him. Surveillance video also showed Wynn fleeing the scene and discarding his clothing along the way.

A break in the case came when a responding DART officer recalled recently issuing a citation to someone who matched the suspect’s description. Detectives later confirmed that name matched the information from witnesses, the victim, and the surveillance footage.

Wynn was arrested on November 8 and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The investigation remains ongoing.
