Two Arrested in El Paso for Reckless Driving with Child on Board
Mark Galindo and Evelyn Villa

El Paso, TX – On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, deputies from the Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station conducted a traffic stop on a red pickup truck traveling at high speed and weaving through traffic in the 14700 block of Horizon Blvd.

During the stop, deputies observed that while the driver and front-seat passenger were properly restrained, the passenger was holding a nine-month-old child on her lap without any safety restraint.

Following the investigation, deputies determined that the actions of 22-year-old Mark Galindo and 20-year-old Evelyn Villa placed the child in imminent danger of serious bodily injury. Both Galindo and Villa were arrested and charged with Endangering a Child. They were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, each with bond set at $1,000.
