Alleged Robber Fatally Shot by Victim During Deihl Road Incident in Houston

Houston, TX — Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 6401 Deihl Road around 11:45 a.m. on Monday, August 25. The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Detective T. Tyler, patrol officers responded to a shooting call near the intersection of T.C. Jester Boulevard and West Tidwell Road. Officers found an adult female who told them she had been attempting to transport the injured male to a hospital. Houston Fire Department personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.

A witness reported that the male had attempted to rob another individual at the Deihl Road location when he was shot.
