FBI and Houston Authorities Seek Public’s Help to Locate 9 of Houston’s Most Wanted

HOUSTON, TX – The FBI, in collaboration with the Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Marshals Service, has released a list of nine of Houston’s Most Wanted violent offenders and is asking for the public’s help in locating them.
The release is part of the nationwide FBI “Summer Heat” initiative. The fugitives are wanted for serious crimes including murder, capital murder, aggravated robbery, and bank robbery, and are believed to be in or around Harris County.
One of the men on the list, Gerrode Terrel Smith, wanted for bank robbery, was arrested on Tuesday, August 5, thanks to a tip from the public.
Authorities are urging the public to take a close look at the remaining fugitives.

- Hector Manuel Birriel-Carrasquillo: Capital Murder
- Jamale N. Jones: Aggravated Robbery
- Anthony K. Johnson: Aggravated Robbery
The public is reminded not to approach any of these individuals. Anyone who recognizes a fugitive is asked to call local law enforcement. The FBI states that every tip matters and doing the right thing could save a life.
