Conroe Man Arrested for Child Pornography After Multi-Agency Search Warrant

CONROE, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has arrested a Conroe man on multiple felony charges related to child pornography following the execution of a search warrant on July 31, 2025.
Kody James O’Keefe, 28, of Conroe, was taken into custody at his residence after being identified as the primary suspect in an investigation by the DPS Criminal Investigation Division. O’Keefe has been charged with five counts of Possession/Promotion of Child Pornography, a first-degree felony, and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
The investigation, supported by the Texas Highway Patrol, multiple Montgomery County Constable’s Offices, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce, determined that O’Keefe had used several social media accounts to download and upload Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
DPS, which is a member of the Montgomery County ICAC Taskforce, encourages anyone with information related to this case to contact Special Agent Francisco Salazar at 800-843-5678. The department stated that the case is part of its ongoing effort to protect children and pursue those who exploit or attempt to harm them.
