Two Men Arrested After Gunfire During Road Rage Incident in League City

League City Police arrested two men following a road rage incident involving gunfire along I-45 on Saturday night, July 19, 2025.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 3300 block of the S IH 45 Northbound main lanes. The incident occurred near the scene of an unrelated major accident, which had already closed the northbound lanes. Officers were nearby and quickly responded.

Witnesses reported the involvement of a white Toyota Tundra and a white GMC Sierra towing a trailer. Officers located both vehicles in heavy traffic and safely detained the occupants.

The driver of the GMC Sierra, 27-year-old Ronald Miranda Ramos of Houston, was found to have discharged a handgun during the altercation. He was arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct Discharge of Firearm, with bond set at $25,000.

The driver of the Toyota Tundra, 32-year-old Jose Quintanilla of Katy, was found in possession of less than one gram of cocaine. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1g, with bond set at $15,000.

Both men were transported to the League City Jail.
