Man Arrested After Wife Stabbed in Neck in Conroe Driveway

CONROE, TX — A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday evening after his wife was found with a stab wound to the neck outside a home in the 17700 block of Rio Bravo Boulevard in Conroe.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the stabbing at approximately 8:04 p.m. on July 11, 2025. Upon arrival, medics with the Montgomery County Hospital District located a 28-year-old woman lying in the driveway with a serious stab wound. She was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.
Deputies detained the suspect at the scene, identified as Jose Rafael Silva Figera, 35, of Venezuela. According to officials, Figera allegedly admitted to multiple witnesses that he was responsible for the stabbing prior to deputies’ arrival.
He was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His immigration status is currently being reviewed in coordination with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and are actively investigating the incident. Authorities believe this was an isolated case of family violence, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
