Two Suspects Arrested After High-Speed Chase and $12K Ulta Theft in Rosenberg

Two suspects were taken into custody Friday afternoon, June 27, after leading Rosenberg Police on a high-speed chase and foot pursuit following a theft in progress at the Ulta Beauty store in Brazos Town Center.

Rosenberg Patrol Officer Alexander intercepted the suspects’ vehicle as they attempted to flee. The suspects refused to stop, initiating a pursuit along I-69 that continued through Crabb River Road, past the Greatwood and Tara neighborhoods, and then back toward Rosenberg on FM 762 into Richmond.

The chase ended when the suspects crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 90 and FM 762. Both suspects fled the scene on foot.

Rosenberg K-9 Officer Manriquez located the driver in a nearby parking lot and took him into custody with assistance from other officers. The second suspect was spotted attempting to blend in with pedestrian traffic. As Officer Manriquez approached, the suspect ran across all four lanes of Highway 90. K-9 Bink was deployed and detained the suspect until officers arrived.

Over $12,000 worth of stolen fragrances were recovered from the suspects’ vehicle.

The driver is facing felony charges of evading arrest in a vehicle and theft of property between $2,500 and $30,000. The passenger is also facing felony theft charges, a misdemeanor charge for evading on foot, and 21 outstanding warrants from Houston, San Antonio, and Austin for similar crimes.

Police confirmed that medical care was provided to all individuals involved in the crash. The Rosenberg Police Department extended thanks to the Richmond Police Department, Sugar Land Police Department, and Texas DPS for their assistance.
