Second Suspect Arrested in Fatal Spring Branch East Shooting

A second suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman and the wounding of a man outside a business located at 7550 Long Point Road on May 6.
Keyandre Lejuan Benjamin, 21, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in the 185th State District Court. He was taken into custody on June 18 by the Houston Police Department’s Narcotics Tactical Team and booked into the Harris County Jail.
The first suspect, Rodney Johnson, 23, was previously arrested and charged with murder in the 488th State District Court. He was taken into custody on June 3.
The deceased victim was identified as 37-year-old Keisha Warren. A 40-year-old male victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective W. Elliott, officers responded to a shooting call around 11:10 p.m. and found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Warren dead at the scene.
The investigation led to the identification and arrest of both Johnson and Benjamin, who are now in custody facing charges related to the shooting. The case remains under active investigation.
