Driver Killed After Fiery Crash on West Sam Houston Parkway

One person was killed early Monday morning, June 23, when a pickup truck crashed and caught fire on the West Sam Houston Parkway North.
At approximately 2:24 a.m., a Ford F-150 was traveling southbound in the 9500 block of the parkway when it veered out of its lane, left the roadway, and struck a street light. The vehicle caught fire following the collision, and the driver, who was the sole occupant, was unable to escape.
Responding deputies found the operator deceased in the driver’s seat. Due to the severity of the fire, the individual could not be immediately identified.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is actively investigating the incident. The case remains open.
