77-Year-Old Midland Man Hospitalized with Life-Threatening Injuries Following Collision

Midland Police responded to a collision at 11:48 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, that left a 77-year-old man, James Holman Jr., with life-threatening injuries.

According to the Midland Police Department, Holman was driving a 2000 Mazda B-series pickup and was stopped facing south in the 3300 block of Mark Lane. Holman then entered the intersection, reportedly failing to yield the right of way to a 2024 Freightliner M2 traveling west on Wadley Avenue, resulting in a collision.

Holman was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured and released at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
