7-Year-Old Killed in Crash at Willow Glen Drive in Southeast Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of 7-year-old Nicolas Castillon on Thursday, November 27, at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Willow Glen Drive.

According to the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, the driver of a black Ford F450 pickup truck was traveling westbound on Willow Glen and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Herchel Wood Drive. After proceeding through the intersection, the driver heard a noise from under the vehicle, stopped, and discovered a small bicycle and the child lying in the roadway.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Nicolas Castillon deceased at the scene.

The truck driver remained at the scene and did not show signs of intoxication. He was questioned and released.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
